150 - Internal Expanding Joint (Self Colour)

The self-coloured Interclamp 150 Internal Expanding Joint is a straight fitting joint, intended for tubes of the same size.

It is to be used to join together 3.25mm wall thickness tubes (1”, 1 1/4” & 1 1/2” BS EN 10255, formerly BS 1387, medium weight) and must not be used as a load bearing joint, particularly for tensile loads.

Where a joint with superior load characteristics is required, the Interclamp External Sleeve Joint type 149 can often be used as an alternative.

Please note that these fittings are bare metal and will be naturally prone to rusting unless a protective coating such as a lacquer is applied.
